Project overview
The highlight of the “Think Asia, Think Hong Kong” HKTDC campaign in Los Angeles is the Hong Kong Dinner – a memorable occasion to establish connections, strengthen friendships and enjoy Hong Kong’s dynamism, vibrancy and hospitality. As a souvenir to commemorate this special occasion, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council commissioned a gift set of cups with Hong Kong’s iconic patterns from design studio Latitude 22N.
Designer Julie Progin was born in Hong Kong and graduated from Parsons School of Design in New York. She and US artist Jesse Mc Lin founded Latitude 22N in Hong Kong in 2008 and their fresh perspective in porcelain and design is stimulated by Hong Kong’s rich and diverse culture as well as their own heritages. These cups were inspired by typical architectural features in Hong Kong: window frames and floor tiles.
